Well, there are plenty of special people here.

The Mayor posted this already, but I thought I needed to insure its distribution.

Mckinny hits an officer, and how does she respond? By turning it into a race isseu;

“I am absolutely sick and tired of having to have my appearance at the White House validated by white people,” she said at the time.

So, no blogging. Unless I get tired of cleaning.

Which, truth be told, is very likely.

So next time one in eight of you decide to hold a giant afternoon party downtown, ring me up. I have some good ideas. Like that maybe when you’re marching for American citizenship, you should leave the Mexican flags at home. Listen, we got it, you’re from Mexico.

Perhaps a sombrero or one of those cool wrestling masks would get that across better than waving a flag for a different country when you’re asking to be a citizen here. Also, I could bring bagels. It’s the only decent food my people ever came up with.

So, who’s going to get kicked off today? I would offer an opinion, but I only watched the last two performances -who can watch tv at 8 pm at night? Of course, I did catch the 3-second recaps of each, and based on that … I still have no clue.

You know, I think I’m going to make up my own crap religion with really, reallystupid rules. So Katie Holmes is going to give birth without uttering a peep, sans drugs? Good luck with that. The only way I could keep quiet during birth is if they knocked me out. With my fifth and final child, I woke up a whole maternity ward (in my defense, it’s not that I’m a baby, it’s just that I gave birth so quickly, I almost delivered him in the hallway.)

Bizarre beliefs of Scientologists

In conclusion, Scientology should be ridiculed by all.

Marriage is a white thing? March 27, 2006

At least that is what a 12-year old told this black woman. Being a good father was important to the boys, but marriage, apparently, isn’t part of the deal.

Although slavery was an atrocious social system, men and women back then nonetheless often succeeded in establishing working families. In his account of slave life and culture, “Roll, Jordan, Roll,” historian Eugene D. Genovese wrote: “A slave in Georgia prevailed on his master to sell him to Jamaica so that he could find his wife, despite warnings that his chances of finding her on so large an island were remote. . . . Another slave in Virginia chopped his left hand off with a hatchet to prevent being sold away from his son.” I was stunned to learn that a black child was more likely to grow up living with both parents during slavery days than he or she is today, according to sociologist Andrew J. Cherlin.

Sad.

And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder: One of the four beasts saying: “Come and see.” And I saw. And behold, a white horse.
There’s a man goin’ ’round takin’ names. An’ he decides who to free and who to blame. Everybody won’t be treated all the same. There’ll be a golden ladder reaching down. When the man comes around.

The hairs on your arm will stand up. At the terror in each sip and in each sup. For you partake of that last offered cup, Or disappear into the potter’s ground. When the man comes around.

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers. One hundred million angels singin’. Multitudes are marching to the big kettle drum. Voices callin’, voices cryin’. Some are born an’ some are dyin’. It’s Alpha’s and Omega’s Kingdom come.

And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree. The virgins are all trimming their wicks. The whirlwind is in the thorn tree. It’s hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Till Armageddon, no Shalam, no Shalom. Then the father hen will call his chickens home. The wise men will bow down before the throne. And at his feet they’ll cast their golden crown. When the man comes around.

Whoever is unjust, let him be unjust still. Whoever is righteous, let him be righteous still. Whoever is filthy, let him be filthy still. Listen to the words long written down, When the man comes around.

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers. One hundred million angels singin’. Multitudes are marchin’ to the big kettle drum.

In measured hundredweight and penny pound. When the man comes around.

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts, And I looked and behold: a pale horse. And his name, that sat on him, was Death. And Hell followed with him.

Yes, duh, I saw Walk the Line last week.
